Lisa Anderson · Mental Health Change Therapist
Change doesn't have to take years.
If you've been feeling stuck in anxiety, overwhelm, chronic pain, low self-worth or repeating emotional patterns, you're not alone. And you don't have to stay there.
Sound familiar?
- I'm going round in circles
- I feel trapped
- I'm carrying the weight of the world
- It's like I've hit a brick wall
These aren't just colourful expressions. They often reflect how your unconscious mind is making sense of your experience, and they can be one of the ways in. It's an approach called Metaphors of Movement.
"I don't believe people need fixing."
Hi, I'm Lisa
I'm a Mental Health Change Therapist, and I help people untangle the emotional knots that keep them stuck.
I believe people deserve to understand why they think, feel and react the way they do. Many of the struggles we experience today are not signs that something is wrong with us. They're often old emotional patterns that once helped us survive, but are no longer serving us.
Using neuroscience-informed therapeutic approaches including Integral Eye Movement Technique (IEMT), OldPain2Go and memory reconsolidation principles, I help clients create lasting emotional change in a compassionate, practical and supportive environment.
My work is warm, honest and down to earth. No judgement. No jargon. Just genuine conversations that help you move forward.
Insight alone doesn't always change emotional learning.
Why work with me?
Many people have spent years trying to "fix" themselves. They've read the books. Listened to the podcasts. Practised positive thinking. Learned coping strategies.
Yet somehow they still find themselves returning to the same anxiety, emotional triggers, relationship difficulties or self-doubt.
That's because insight alone doesn't always change emotional learning. My work focuses on identifying the deeper patterns held within the nervous system, creating the conditions for genuine and lasting emotional change.
What I can help with
Where we might start
Every pattern is different, but these are the areas people most often bring to me.
Anxiety & overthinking
Reducing emotional overwhelm and regaining calm.
Trauma & emotional imprints
Working with unresolved emotional experiences without repeatedly reliving them.
Low self-esteem
Shifting the deeper beliefs that affect confidence and self-worth.
Chronic pain
Supporting people experiencing persistent pain using the OldPain2Go approach.
Stress & burnout
Helping the nervous system recover from prolonged periods of stress.
Identity & personal growth
Reconnecting with who you truly are, rather than who life has taught you to become.
Most people don't struggle because they're weak. They struggle because their nervous system is still responding to emotional experiences that happened months, or even years, ago.How change happens
How I work
My therapeutic approaches
Modern neuroscience has shown that emotional learning isn't fixed forever. The brain can update old emotional patterns when the right therapeutic conditions are created. That process is known as memory reconsolidation, and it sits at the heart of my work.
Integral Eye Movement Technique
A gentle, neuroscience-informed approach that helps reduce the emotional intensity of memories and long-standing reactions, without hours of reliving painful experiences.

The science behind why this therapy is different: the brain's natural ability to update old emotional learnings at their source, not just help you cope with them.

Warmth, humour, honesty and gentle challenge. Sometimes the moment we laugh at an old pattern is the very moment it begins to lose its grip.
